Title: General Machinist - Hourly
Location: East Alton, IL
Salary: $41.80/hour
Schedule: Straight Afternoon (S/2)

General Machinist Essential Job Functions:
General Machinist Minimum Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must meet one of the following requirements:
Two-year related degree with a minimum of two years recent related General Machinist heavy industrial/maintenance experience; OR
Minimum four-years recent related General Machinist heavy industrial/maintenance experience; OR
A four-year related General Machinist apprenticeship certification.
Recent related experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment is preferred.
Manual conventional lathes/mills, boring mills, machine shop equipment, and repair work.
Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods, enter confined spaces, climb ladders, work at heights, in weather elements and extreme temperatures, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Experience operating heavy equipment such as a forklift, tractor, crane, and backhoe, preferred.
Strong math and blueprint reading.
Must possess a valid driver''''s license.
Flexibility to work alternative schedules, weekends, and forced overtime as needed.
