REPORTS TO: Building Principal and Director of Federal Programs
JOB GOAL: Evaluate English language proficiency for K-12 students who are English Learners (ELs) by administering ACCESS for ELLs or the WIDA Screener following strict security, accommodation, and administration protocols
TIME FRAME: August 24th, 2026 through May 30, 2027
between 8:00-3:00 - hours to be scheduled with the building principal
Not to exceed 100 hours per school year
COMPENSATION: $40.00/hour
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct Assessments: Administer online, paper, or kindergarten-specific WIDA tests covering listening, speaking, reading, and writing domains.Score Performance: Locally score designated sections (such as Kindergarten or Speaking domains) accurately following rubric guidelines.
- Maintain Security: Follow strict chain-of-custody rules, protect secure test materials, and manage test tickets or login credentials.Apply Accommodations:
- Provide approved individual or group student accommodations (e.g., braille, extended time, assistive tech) based on IEP/504 plans.
- Manage Environment: Create a calm, distraction-free testing environment and troubleshoot basic software or hardware issues.
- Collects and completes required local, state, and federal forms and materials in a timely fashion.
- Candidate must have a successful interview with building Principal.
- All other duties assigned by the Building Principal or the Director of Federal Programs
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Appropriate State of Indiana license
- Background of successful teaching experience
- Proven reliability, good organization skills, and ability to work well with students, parents & staff
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate & acceptable
