Job Summary: We are seeking a Wi-Fi Test Engineer with strong experience in wireless networking and Wi-Fi testing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on knowledge of 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax standards, Wi-Fi security, Mesh networks, Wi-Fi 6E/7, performance testing, and packet analysis using Wireshark. Experience with networking, scripting, RF, and Embedded Linux troubleshooting is a plus.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Perform functional and performance testing of Wi-Fi devices and wireless networks.
Test Wi-Fi technologies based on 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax standards.
Validate Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7 features and connectivity.
Test and troubleshoot Wi-Fi Mesh networks.
Validate Wi-Fi security modes and wireless connectivity.
Perform Wi-Fi performance testing, including throughput, latency, and connectivity testing.
Capture and analyze wireless packets using Wireshark and other packet analysis tools.
Troubleshoot Wi-Fi connectivity and performance issues and identify root causes.
Work with basic networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and routing.
Develop or use scripts to support testing and automation activities.
Perform basic RF testing and troubleshooting when required.
Troubleshoot basic issues on Embedded Linux systems.
Document test results, defects, and troubleshooting findings.
Present test results and technical findings to engineering teams and executives.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related technical field.
Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
3+ years of experience in Wi-Fi, wireless networking, network testing, or a related engineering role.
Hands-on experience with 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax standards.
Scripting experience using Python, Bash, or similar languages is preferred.
Basic knowledge of RF concepts and Embedded Linux troubleshooting is preferred.
