Position Title: PIT Trainer (Powered Industrial Truck Trainer)
Client/Site: Lewisville, TX (On-site)
Pay Rate: $24.00/hr.
Shift: Monday - Fri , 8:00 AM–4:00 PM

Position Summary
The PIT Trainer supports Flexport warehouse operations by training, evaluating, and authorizing associates to safely operate Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT). This role blends classroom instruction, hands-on coaching, and on-floor performance validation to help maintain a safe, productive, and compliant work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver PIT training for new hires and transfers (classroom + practical skills).
- Coach associates on safe operation and best practices for equipment such as:
- forklift / reach truck / order picker / electric pallet jack (as used on site)
- Conduct and document:
- pre-operation inspection training
- hands-on driving/handling evaluations
- refresher training after safety concerns, incidents, or performance issues
- Reinforce safety standards: pedestrian awareness, speed control, horn use, load stability, trailer/dock safety, and aisle rules.
- Partner with Ops/Safety/Leadership to identify skill gaps and reduce equipment damage.
- Maintain accurate training records and communicate pass/fail results and next steps.
- Support general warehouse tasks when needed (as approved by site leadership).
Requirements
- Prior PIT operating experience in a warehouse/distribution environment (trainer experience preferred).
- Strong safety mindset and ability to enforce standards consistently.
- Reliable attendance and ability to work the full Wed–Sat 8am–6pm schedule.
- Able to read/write and communicate effectively in English (bilingual is a plus).
Physical / Work Environment
- Warehouse setting; standing/walking for 8–10+ hours.
- Lift up to ~50 lbs as needed.
- Frequent bending, reaching, and climbing in/out of PIT equipment.
- Must follow PPE and safety policies.

- Badge photo + I-9 completion must be done before start.
