Wheat Receiver
Location: Ligonier, Indiana
Pay: $17.50 per hour
Schedule: First Shift, Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 4:00 PM
We are hiring a dependable Wheat Receiver to work at a busy flour production facility in Ligonier, Indiana. This is a fast-paced position at an active wheat receiving and testing site that can process approximately 50 trucks per day.
The Wheat Receiver will assist with receiving incoming wheat, handling samples, and supporting the testing process to ensure wheat meets quality requirements before entering production.
Job Duties
Receive and assist with processing incoming wheat trucks
Collect and handle wheat samples for testing
Lift and carry totes of wheat weighing up to 40 pounds
Work efficiently in a busy environment that may receive approximately 50 trucks per day
Follow established procedures for wheat receiving and quality testing
Maintain accurate and organized samples and work areas
Assist with cleaning throughout the flour production plant during slower periods or downtime
Keep receiving and testing areas clean and organized
Follow all food production, safety, sanitation, and facility procedures
Requirements
Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced flour production environment
Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
Must be willing to perform plant cleaning duties when receiving operations are slow
Ability to stay organized while handling a high volume of incoming trucks
Dependable attendance and punctuality are required
Must be comfortable working around wheat, flour, dust, trucks, and production equipment
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical work throughout the shift
