Job Title: Youth Soccer for Beginners Coach

Location: West Fargo Park District, West Fargo, ND

The West Fargo Park District is looking for enthusiastic and energetic individuals to join our team as Soccer for Beginners Coaches. If you love working with children and have a passion for soccer, this is a great opportunity to help young athletes develop basic soccer skills in a fun, positive, and supportive environment.

Position Overview

As a Soccer for Beginners Coach, you will lead youth ages 4-9 in a variety of indoor drills and activities. The focus will be on introducing children to the basics of soccer while ensuring they have fun and stay engaged. Activities include skills stations, mini-games, and gameplay, all designed to promote physical activity and teamwork.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead children ages 4-9 in basic soccer drills and activities, emphasizing fun and skill development.
• Organize and facilitate a variety of soccer activities through fun games and drills.
• Ensure a safe and supportive environment where children feel encouraged and motivated to participate.
• Foster a positive and energetic atmosphere that promotes teamwork, coordination, and social skills.
• Maintain clear communication with parents and guardians about participant progress.
• Set up and clean up after each session, ensuring all equipment is properly stored and maintained.
• Ensure the safety of all participants during activities.

Minimum Qualifications

• Age Requirement: Must be at least 16 years old.
• Skills: Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to engage and motivate children.
• Experience: Previous experience working with youth is preferred.
• Knowledge: A basic understanding of soccer is helpful.

Supplemental Information

Work Schedule

This position requires part-time availability, with activities scheduled during daytime hours, depending on the program schedule.

Program Dates

October 28th-November 18th (Wednesdays Only) from 5:00pm-7:30pm

January 6th-27th (Wednesdays Only) from 5:00pm-7:30pm

Ideal Candidate
