Position Title: Underground Maintenance SupervisorLocation: West Elk MineJob Type: Full-TimeApplication Deadline: Friday, February 20, 2026Position Summary
Provide direction and supervision to hourly employees responsible for underground coal mine maintenance in immediate area of responsibility, including but not limited to: longwall, continuous miner, or belt maintenance.
Target Responsibilities
Responsible for ensuring that operational objectives are met in a safe and timely manner and in compliance within environmental regulationsPlan, organize, schedule and coordinate maintenance activities with all levels of the organizationEnsure availability of necessary parts and tools as necessaryActively support and promote Behavioral Based Safety (BBS)
Minimum Qualifications
Five plus (5+) years of underground mine maintenance experienceMSHA Electrical certification (low, medium, high voltage - surface and underground)Demonstrated experience with West Elk Warriors BBS processMust have demonstrated communication skills (written and verbal)Must have computer skillsPossess understanding of planning function and necessity of detail-oriented workPrevious supervisory experience preferred, demonstrated leadership characteristics
Compensation and BenefitsPay rate: Salaried Non-Exempt (EX) 09 | $93,830 - $140,740 annuallyEligible for Performance Recognition Plan (bonus)
