Job Responsibilities
Follow up on any emergency calls to guarantee the appropriate status for the resident. Anything unusual will be reported to the Director of Administrative Services immediately. Health status changes will be brought to the Resident at Risk Committee as needed
Assesses and provides limited nursing services to independent residents during "Nurse Is In" Clinic as outlined in the "Menu of Services" schedule. All services provided will be under the direction of the resident's physician and will be monitored by the Director of Administrative Services
Keep charts and Vial of Life records accurate and up to date on each resident of the Independent Living Facility
The Wellness Nurse will report to the Director of Administrative Services any significant changes or events affecting residents' well-being. Documentation in the resident files is to be completed on circumstances of events that occurred during duty hours.
Covid-19 vaccine is strongly encouraged, however not required
The Wellness Nurse administers Wellness Clinic responsibilities for the Independent Living resident of our community. This consists of assessing/monitoring independent resident held needs, providing needed health care or referrals, and developing education/prevention program for campus. The Wellness Nurse also responds to all resident emergency calls during hours of duty. Should a call occur, the nurse is to go immediately to the location of the call, assess the situation and call 911 if necessary. The purpose of the services offered through the Wellness Clinic is to enhance the lives of the residents and enable them to maintain a high level of independence as long as possible by identifying and monitoring problems that may need support.
