Location: Little Rock, AR

Pay Rate: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 6 AM - 2:30 PM

Job Duties

  • Read, interpret, and follow technical drawings
  • Assemble and weld specialized heavy-steel structures
  • Set up and operate according to standardized procedures; weld components in one or multiple layers
  • Inspect welds for quality, clean, and prepare for final treatment/finishing
  • Move and manipulate heavy parts using overhead cranes or walkways

Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Vocational training, welding certification, or technical education is beneficial.

Experience Requirements

  • 3 years of experience performing hands-on welding and fabrication experience working with heavy steel structural materials using linear, multi-layer, and vertical welding techniques
  • Ability to read blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings.
  • Knowledge of welding equipment setup, welding techniques, and safe operating procedures.
  • Ability to accurately measure, fit, and prepare materials prior to welding.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship and workplace safety.

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS Welding Certification preferred
  • MAG Welding experience preferred
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, fabrication, structural welding, or production environments is preferred.
  • Experience using grinders, saws, cutting equipment, and metal fabrication tools is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of weld inspection, blueprint interpretation, and quality control procedures is considered an asset.
  • Individuals who demonstrate craftsmanship, dependability, and a commitment to continuous improvement are well positioned for success as a Welding Technician.

Physical Capabilities

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work in welding positions throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift metal components, materials, and equipment weighing up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to safely wear welding helmets, gloves, and required personal protective equipment.
  • Ability to safely work around welding equipment, sparks, heat, and fabrication machinery while following established safety procedures.
  • Steel toed shoes are required on the production floor.
