POSITION: WELDING TEACHER
HIGH SCHOOL
2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Classroom teacher assignment implemented per adopted
job description.
- Assist with student instruction in both the classroom and welding lab
- Guide and support student learning in a safe, structured environment
- Demonstrate welding, cutting, fitting, and fabrication techniques
- Prepare materials and projects for instruction
- Weld, fabricate, cut, and visually inspect welds on a variety of materials and
processes
- Work with mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
- Facilitate workshop sessions as needed
- Communicate clearly with students in both English and Spanish
- Enforce all shop and lab safety procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Holds a New Jersey Instructional Welding (2543) Certification
- Strong knowledge of welding theory, welding code requirements, and certification
standards
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace and lab safety, including the ability to
follow and enforce safety protocols
- Ability to work effectively with students of diverse backgrounds, skill levels, and
learning needs
- Completion of a background check will be required
PAY SCALE: $64,475.00 (BA/1) - $121,465.00 (MA+60/19)
