Welding Supervisor

Emerge is currently recruiting qualified candidates for a direct hire Welding Supervisor job in Erie, PA for our client, a stable, highly regarded manufacturer of essential military and commercial products. This is a first-shift position with no weekend work, where you will oversee precision MIG and TIG welding operations to ensure procedures and practices meet required codes while training and developing new team members.  This position offers a salary range of $63,000 to $68,400 per year, PLUS straight-time overtime for any hours worked beyond 40 per week (average of 4-5 hours overtime oer week), an annual profit-sharing bonus ($6,000-$8,000 estimate) and excellent benefits including low-cost medical insurance and a 401(k) with annual company deposit. 

Responsibilities for the Welding Supervisor job in Erie, PA include:

• Overseeing welding operations to ensure all procedures and practices meet required code standards. Will handle government required paperwork as it relates to the welding department. 
• Interviewing and testing potential new associates. Training and developing new welders.
• Applying knowledge of weld codes, nondestructive testing, and heat-treating practices to maintain quality across the department
• Supervising first-shift welding staff to support production goals and on-time delivery

Qualifications

• Prior weld supervisory experience required, full experience including 
• Weld engineering degree OR equivalent experience in welding in all positions and supervisory experience
• Knowledge of weld codes, NDT/non-destructive testing, and heat-treating practices is helpful
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
