Job Summary

Maysville Community & Technical College is currently accepting applications for a full-time, 10- month term contract Welding Instructor on the Maysville campus. This is not a remote position. This is an in-person position and requires on-campus presence. This is a grant funded position.

Job Duties:

Overall responsible for the classroom management including;

• Demonstrate and promote/instruct all customary safety practices in the field of welding
• Classroom supervision and instruction on a project to project basis
• Laboratory preparation
• Customized curriculum development and delivery
• Able to demonstrate/instruct stick, MIG and TIG welding processes
• Able to instruct acetylene/oxy-fuel cutting torch processes

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum requirements include an Associate Degree in Applied Science and four years' experience in the field and/or approval from Vice Chancellor of Academic Services.

Preferred Qualifications:

Current AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification.

Experience and proficiency in blueprint reading and fabrication instruction.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Outlook, and Excel, using a PC platform.
