Compensation: $66,000.00 - $93,000.00

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, and verify welded car bodies to confirm they meet quality standards and industry specifications.
• Perform hold point and in-process inspections of welded joints.
• Create, complete, and properly file all inspection documents.
• Coordinate and plan inspections with production team leads and resident inspectors.
• Support quality control processes, including recording and resolving non-conformities.
• Perform non-destructive testing (VT, PT) as required and document findings.
• Carry out dimensional inspections and verify documentation for components and final products.
• Perform visual testing, with dye penetrant certification preferred.
• Use measuring instruments correctly, monitor calibration status, and ensure proper instrument preservation.
• Support production stoppages if non-conformities affecting quality are detected.
• Conduct weighing and in-process measurements of car bodies and components.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• ISO 9712 Level I VT/PT or ASNT Level I VT/PT certification preferred.
• ISO 9712 Level II VT/PT or ASNT Level II VT/PT certification preferred.
• Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification preferred.
• 2+ years of relevant professional experience.
