SummaryThis position works with thin gauge stainless steel. Welding metal components together, fabricating or repairing products using layouts and blueprints.
Job Duties- Welds metal components together
- Fabricate or repair products according to layouts, blueprints or work orders
- Set up welding machine based on job specifications
- Reads and interprets blueprints and other specifications, calculates dimensions and prepares appropriate materials.
- Checks the quality of all metal parts before assembling for welding, cutting, or cleaning as necessary. Visually examining it for obvious defects.
- Repairs products that are defective by dismantling, reshaping and fusing them back.
- Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
Qualifications- Experience with TIG Welding, high preferred
- Experience with Thin 16 and 18 Gauge Stainless Steel Sheet Metal, preferred
- Welding certification, preferred
- Training Available
- Walk, stands, bend, stoop, reach and lift to 40lbs for the entire shift.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be able to work independently and manage time effectively.
