    Job Description: The ideal candidate will have a basic knowledge of, and ability to read prints, be able to read a tape measure, know the difference between various kinds of structural steel, be able to weld in the flat position at a minimum, and have the knowledge to set up their welding machine and space. Although a welding certificate is not required, welding experience and the ability and desire to learn and grow is essential. SPI manufactures equipment for the material handling industry.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Fabricate and repair metal and other weldable materials using appropriate techniques.
    • Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and specifications.
    • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
    • Continuously improve welding techniques and processes to enhance productivity.

    Skills:

    • Positive work ethic and attitude.
    • Trainable and eager to learn.
    • Ability and willingness to follow directions.
    • Team player.
    • Good attendance.

    Knowledge:

    • Basic knowledge of reading prints.
    • Ability to read a tape measure.
    • Understanding of various kinds of structural steel.
    • Knowledge to set up welding machines and space.

    Ability to Implement:

    • Ability to weld in the flat position at a minimum.
    • Welding experience and the ability and desire to learn and grow.
