Position OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Welder with experience in MIG and TIG welding of both aluminum and steel components. This position plays a critical role in fabricating quality products to exact specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate MIG/TIG welding equipment according to production schedules.
- Adjust machine settings to ensure proper weld quality and product conformance.
- Weld and assemble components using samples, blueprints, or work instructions.
- Conduct destructive weld testing as required.
- Inspect finished parts for dimensional accuracy and quality.
- Create samples and prototypes for new products.
- Complete necessary documentation and records accurately.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized 5S-compliant work environment.
- Report any machine or tooling issues to the Production Manager.
- Adapt to changing tasks and priorities as needed.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, tape measures, and calibrated measuring tools.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic math and reading comprehension.
- Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Comfortable with frequent standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and material handling.
- Flexibility to work overtime on short notice.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of hands-on MIG/TIG welding experience.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
Education:High School Diploma or GED required.
