Overview:

Position Overview

Unified Door & Hardware Group (UDHG) is seeking a dependable and safety-minded Welder with experience in steel fabrication. This position involves welding, fabricating, and repairing steel components using appropriate techniques. The successful candidate will be skilled in reading blueprints, working with various gauges of steel, and producing high-quality welds in compliance with safety and project standards.

Responsibilities and Qualifications:

Key Responsibilities

  1. Welding & Fabrication
  • Welds, fabricates, and repairs 16-18 gauge stainless steel and other metals using proper techniques
  • Reads blueprints and diagrams to select appropriate welding methods
  • Inspects finished welds for structural integrity and quality

 

  1. Safety
  • Follow all safety protocols and the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) requirements to maintain a safe working environment
  • Use proper lifting techniques

 

  1. Physical Requirements
  • Frequent use of hands and arms for equipment operation, grasping and manipulation
  • Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying approximately 50 lbs. utilizing proper lifting procedures  
  • Additional physical requirements may be needed as duties are assigned

 

  1. Miscellaneous
  • Support our values in the stated areas of Safety, Customer Focus, Teamwork, Integrity and being a Company of Choice for both employees and customers
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

  • Excellent understanding of safety practices and procedures in fabricating environment
  • 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area
  • Have knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures

Compensation

The listed pay range reflects the expected base rate for this position; actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and cost of living in the assigned market. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.

  • Base:$22-$26 per hour
  • Job Type:Full-Time
