Summary:
The Welder will be required to carry out cladding on machined parts to a high degree of quality.
Work on his/her own initiative to meet the production schedule of the plant.
Ability to weld many different types of components related to Gas and Steam turbine repairs.
This position may be required to flex between first and second shift as needed.
Responsibilities:
Performing visual and in-process inspections in accordance with API and ISO quality specifications.
Reading and understanding engineering drawings & specifications.
Overlay of components using Tig & MiG per weld procedures.
Setting up and welding components within the parameters of the specific weld procedure.
Detailing grinding of components after weld repairs.
Adhering to Company Safety and Environmental policies.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent diploma.
Minimum 7 years of experience.
Experience of using foot control Tig and MiG machines.
Adhering to Company quality procedures.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with SMAW & GMAW welding procedures.
Experience of manual TIG.
Advanced degree can be substituted for experience.
