We are seeking an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join our client’s precision manufacturing team. This position is ideal for a skilled fabricator with strong GTAW/TIG welding experience, particularly with stainless steel, who can read blueprints, operate fabrication equipment, and produce high-quality work with minimal supervision.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working independently as well as part of a team.
What You’ll Do
- Perform GTAW/TIG welding, with an emphasis on stainless steel fabrication.
- Operate welding machines, hand tools, drill presses, manual mills, and manual lathes.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, work instructions, and specifications.
- Set up and operate a variety of metal fabrication equipment.
- Use precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, filler gauges, and other inspection tools.
- Identify welding and fabrication issues during setup and production and make appropriate adjustments or corrections.
- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality and dimensional requirements.
- Perform basic fabrication operations including cutting, drilling, grinding, buffing, and fitting.
- Operate material-handling equipment such as forklifts, power lifts, jib cranes, hand trucks, and pallet jacks/skid jacks.
- Complete production paperwork and enter required data accurately.
- Follow verbal and written instructions and complete assignments with minimal supervision.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Work effectively with team members and assist with training others when needed.
- Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures.
