This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on fabrication, working on a variety of projects, and taking a job from blueprint to finished product.
The shop works with carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum, producing custom parts, frames, brackets, fixtures, and other fabricated components. Projects vary from day to day, so we're looking for someone who is versatile, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working independently.

- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to fabricate parts and assemblies to specification.
- Measure, Client out, cut, fit, and assemble metal components using appropriate fabrication methods.
- Operate saws, plasma cutters, grinders, drills, and other shop equipment to prepare and finish materials.
- Fabricate custom frames, brackets, jigs, fixtures, and one-off components.
- Inspect completed work for weld quality, dimensional accuracy, fit, and finish.
- Identify and resolve fabrication challenges, working with other shop personnel when necessary.
- Maintain welding equipment, tools, and a clean, organized work area.
- Support a variety of shop activities as needed, including basic machining and metal forming.
Qualifications- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on welding and metal fabrication experience.
- Proficiency with MIG and TIG welding, including experience with carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and blueprints.
- Experience laying out, fitting, and assembling components to specified dimensions and tolerances.
- Proficiency using measuring tools, including tape measures, calipers, squares, and protractors.
- Understanding of material preparation, weld distortion, heat control, and proper welding techniques.
- Experience operating common metal fabrication equipment, including saws, grinders, drills, and cutting tools.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and consistently produce quality work.
- Willingness to complete a hands-on weld test as part of the evaluation process.
Preferred ExperienceThe following experience would be beneficial but is not required:
- Manual machining experience using lathes and mills.
- Press brake setup and operation, including tooling selection and bend calculations.
- Stick welding and flux-core welding.
- Experience operating plasma tables, ironworkers, and shears.
- AWS welding certifications or equivalent qualifications.
- Experience working from digital drawings or CAD files.
- Forklift operation.
Why Consider This Opportunity? This is an opportunity to join a smaller fabrication shop where you'll work on a variety of projects rather than performing the same repetitive welding tasks every day.
You'll have the opportunity to apply your welding and fabrication skills, work with different materials and equipment, and take ownership of projects from initial layout through final assembly.
We're looking for someone who takes pride in their craftsmanship, enjoys solving problems, and appreciates the variety that comes with custom fabrication work.
