Spherion Mid Ohio is hiring experienced Welder/Fabricators for a 1st-shift opportunity with an established Ashland County manufacturer.
This isn't just standing at a welding station making the same weld all day. You'll work from blueprints, fabricate and fit metal components, MIG weld assemblies, operate common fabrication equipment, and check your finished work for quality.

What You'll Do
- Perform MIG welding on steel components and assemblies
- Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and measurements
- Measure, fit, fabricate, and assemble metal components
- Set up and operate common metal fabrication equipment
- Use equipment such as press brakes, drill presses, grinders, roll formers, and iron workers as needed
- Inspect completed work for fit, accuracy, and weld quality
- Make adjustments to ensure finished work meets specifications
- Use basic shop math and measurements throughout the fabrication process
- Safely handle and position metal components
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Assist with other fabrication and production responsibilities as needed
What We're Looking For
- Previous MIG welding and/or metal fabrication experience
- Ability to read and work from blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience with common metal fabrication tools and equipment
- Strong measurement and basic math skills
- Good mechanical aptitude
- Strong attention to detail and finished-product quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Dependable attendance and work habits
- Ability to stand throughout the shift
- Ability to lift and handle materials up to 50 lbs.
AWS welding certification is a plus, but not required.
Experience with MIG welding, press brakes, grinders, drill presses, roll formers, iron workers, fitting, layout, or metal fabrication may help you stand out.
