    JOIN A WINNING TEAM! Arrowhead High School is accepting applications for a part-time, school-year Welcome Center Greeter/Security and Lunchroom Aide. The position is located at Arrowhead''s North Campus and will have regular scheduled hours of 9:45 a.m.-3:00 p.m. - Monday through Friday; 5.25hrs/day during the school year.

    Responsibilities of the AHS Welcome Center/Security may include, but not be limited to, the following:

    Answer phone calls and direct the calls to the appropriate person

    Assist students, employees, and visitors with inquiries regarding general information and refer questions to the appropriate person when needed

    Student mail distribution

    Assist with various mailings sent home to families

    Assist Attendance and Office Secretaries as needed

    Keep school administration informed about matters within the community or involving students outside of school that may have an impact on the schools safety and the school environment

    Monitor security cameras as time permits

    Monitor and protect property against criminal activity and damage

    Monitor the flow of people and employees and greet them by name

    Monitor points of access in a building or property to allow entry only to individuals with the correct identification or authorization

    Make students, employees, and visitors welcome - greet, communicate, and respond to people entering the building

    Provide a safe secure environment for students, staff and guests on school grounds

    Establish and maintain good rapport with students, staff and community members

    Assist in development and implementation of action plans to provide safe environment and immediate response to imminent threats of violence, criminal incidents, emergency medical incidents, auto accidents and others

    Confront unauthorized persons for questioning and checking for passes and identification cards as needed

    Follow district policies and administrative rules and regulations

    Ensure doors are locked and opened at designated times determined by Administration

    Observe and report violations of safety to immediate supervisor

    Demonstrate problem solving and responsible decision making skills

    Help with monitoring the lunchroom

    Perform other tasks as may be deemed appropriate by the supervisor and/or designee

    Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

    Maintain and project professional appearance as it relates to job performance

    Check identity of people entering the building and assign proper ID badge

    Respond appropriately to emergency codes

    Demonstrate dependability and reliability by being punctual, working assigned shift and completing responsibilities in a timely manner

    Interact politely and effectively with staff, students, parents, vendors, etc.

    POSITION REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS: High School diploma. Must possess computer skills and have a working knowledge about Arrowhead Union High School. Must be friendly and dependable and have good communication skills.
