Blue Ridge Community College's Office of Admissions & Outreach is seeking a Welcome Center Associate to…

  • Provide assistance to all students in-person at the Welcome Desk and via the online virtual reception room for Career Education, Academic Transfer and Workforce Training programs. Manage the Welcome Desk and Enrollment Zone.
  • Monitor and complete administrative duties to include, but not limited to, the DropSecure drive (secure file transfer platform) for Admissions & Outreach.
  • Assist Admissions & Outreach team with email and phone calls.
  • Assist Student Services team with administrative tasks and projects.

Special Assignments

May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

KSA's/Required Qualifications

  • Outstanding customer service experience
  • Demonstrated ability to interface with technology and learn new systems
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Experience in customer relations in a professional setting
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations and constituencies in order to assist prospective students
  • Excellent organizational skills including flexibility and prioritizing tasks, attention to detail, record-keeping
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Additional Considerations

Helpful, but not required:

  • Experience working in college admissions and/or marketing
  • Experience in Higher Education Outreach or other Student Services related fields
  • Relevant education, experience and/or training
  • Administrative or clerical experience
