Job Summary:

This role plays a crucial part in maintaining a smooth and efficient distribution process. The scaler is responsible for checking all their finished product information is correct. They will need to cross reference that the product they receive matches the paperwork. You will then verify, batch number, Julian date and the quantity are correct. You will cross-reference that information with the order sheet(yellow) before you enter the information into the Bizerba system. Before starting to pack the product, you will need to print a sample label to verify the information you entered is correct. You are responsible for ensuring all your orders are accurate and meet quality standards.

  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Accurately weight, pack, wrap, and label products for shipping.
• Inspect the product for defects or damage before packing.
• Verify product quantities and quality based on order forms.
• Ensure that packaging materials are used correctly and efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area and adhere to food hygiene regulations
• Follow company safety policies and procedures.
• Report any discrepancies, damages, or inventory issues to supervisors.
• Assist with loading/unloading shipments or any other duties as needed.
• Follow company procedures for food safety, allergen control, and traceability
• Weigh and count items accurately

Requirements:

  

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a warehouse or packing environment is a plus.
• Ability to work on your feet for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Basic math and reading skills.
• Ability to lift 5-50 lbs. and perform repetitive tasks.

Compensation details: 17.15-18 Hourly Wage
