Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced nursing professional to provide leadership and clinical oversight during weekend operations. In this role, you will help ensure high-quality, compassionate care while supporting nursing staff, coordinating patient care needs, and maintaining a safe, efficient care environment. This position is ideal for a nurse who brings strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative approach to team leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee nursing operations and provide supervision to staff during assigned weekend shifts.
  • Support clinical decision-making and serve as a resource for patient care concerns.
  • Monitor patient conditions, review care plans, and ensure timely escalation of changes in status.
  • Coordinate with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, and oncoming leadership to support continuity of care.
  • Assist with staffing coverage, assignments, and workflow prioritization as needed.
  • Promote adherence to facility policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory standards.
  • Respond to urgent situations and help guide appropriate interventions.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and support to nursing staff to encourage safe and effective practice.
  • Help maintain accurate documentation and ensure communication is clear and timely.
  • Support a positive, respectful, and patient-centered care environment.

Qualifications

  • Current and active registered nursing licensure in the applicable state.
  • Experience in a clinical nursing role, with prior leadership or charge nurse experience preferred.
  • Strong assessment skills and the ability to make sound clinical decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and safe nursing practices.
  • Proficiency with clinical documentation systems and routine nursing workflows.
