About the Role:Simmas Ovens Bakery Corp in Wauwatosa, WI is looking for a passionate and personable Wedding Consultant to help couples create the sweet centerpiece of their special day. You'll be the face of our bakery's wedding experience, guiding clients from their first tasting to their dream cake. If you love weddings, baked goods, and making people smile, this role is for you! During the slower times of the year assisting with the clerks upfront will ensure a full-time status during the year.
Responsibilities:- Consult with engaged couples to understand their wedding vision, style, and cake preferences
- Schedule and conduct wedding cake tastings and design consultations
- Present custom cake designs, flavors, and tiered options
- Prepare and process client contracts, orders, and payment arrangements
- Coordinate with the bakery production team to ensure accurate order fulfillment and timely delivery
- Maintain a portfolio of wedding cake designs and stay current on bridal trends
- Follow up with clients to confirm details and ensure a seamless experience leading up to the wedding day
Requirements:- Previous experience in wedding consulting, bridal sales, event planning, or a related field preferred
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with a warm, professional demeanor
- Ability to manage multiple client accounts and deadlines simultaneously
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills
- Passion for weddings, design aesthetics, and the bakery/food industry
- Proficiency with basic computer tools for scheduling, order management, and client communication
- Availability to work weekends, as consultations are often scheduled on Saturdays
