Lead Production OperationsLead second-shift production operations in a fast-paced plant. Their culture values teamwork, accountability, safety, and strong leadership across manufacturing operations.Job DescriptionSupervise and coordinate second-shift production operations in a corrugated manufacturing environment. Lead machine operators and support personnel to achieve daily production schedules and performance targets. Oversee converting equipment including flexographic presses, rotary die cutters, specialty gluers, and related machinery. Provide training, coaching, and development for new and existing production team members. Monitor workflow, staffing, and machine performance to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime. Ensure adherence to all company policies, safety procedures, GMPs, and quality standards. Conduct monthly production and safety meetings, reinforcing operational goals and workplace safety practices. Identify production challenges and implement practical solutions to improve performance and output. Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and management teams to support seamless plant operations. Track and communicate production metrics, quality results, and operational priorities. Promote continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, ISO, or similar quality principles when applicable. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe manufacturing environment. Support compliance efforts within a unionized manufacturing setting. Analyze operational data, establish facts, and make informed decisions to improve productivity and quality.The Successful ApplicantHigh School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred. 3-5+ years of production or manufacturing leadership experience. Prior supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment. Experience in corrugated packaging manufacturing highly preferred. Knowledge of converting equipment such as flexographic presses, rotary die cutters, and gluers preferred. Strong understanding of manufacturing quality systems and continuous improvement methodologies. Experience working within a unionized environment preferred. Proficient computer skills and experience utilizing production-related systems and reporting tools. Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to solve problems, analyze data, and make sound operational decisions in a fast-paced environment.What's on OfferCompetitive compensation based on experience and qualifications.
