    Are you passionate about creating accessible digital experiences? The Tennessee State Government's Department of Human Resources is seeking a dedicated Web Accessibility Consultant.     Key Responsibilities

    • Ensure ADA Level AA compliance for internal and external HR websites.
    • Conduct accessibility audits and implement updates.
    • Refine and optimize web content for diverse audiences.
    • Support website redesign efforts with user-centered design principles.
    • Provide accessibility training and resources to HR staff.
    • Establish ongoing accessibility review processes and content standards.
    • Enhance user experience through analysis and feedback.
    • Develop accessible graphics and visual elements.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in web design, Digital Media, Communications, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent experience.
    • 3 years of experience in website management, digital accessibility, UX design, or content strategy.
    • Experience with ADA/WCAG 2.0 or 2.1 Level AA accessibility standards.
    • Proficiency with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and website governance practices.
    • Familiarity with accessibility testing tools (e.g., WAVE, Axe, Siteimprove).

    Preferences

    • Accessibility certifications (e.g., CPACC, WAS, or equivalent).
    • Experience in government, public sector, or large enterprise environments.
    • Experience supporting intranet platforms and external public-facing websites.
