Purpose & Scope of The Position:
The WBTC Operations Technician is responsible for taking and labeling concentrate samples. Learn new things and teach others, so that we can improve as individuals and as a team. Perform other functions and duties as assigned by the Supervisor while continuously aligning daily functions to reflect KGHM's values.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Take and label concentrate samples.
- Communicate clearly via handheld radio.
- Climb/descend ladders several times throughout shift.
- All WBTC employees are responsible for the safety of themselves as well as their co-workers.
- Must be able to shovel and sweep inside Gondola car.
- Willingness to perform other duties as necessary to ensure the success of KGHM.
Required Education, Work Experience & Training:
- Basic light vehicle operation experience.
- A valid Driver's License.
Preferred Education, Work Experience & Training:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in an industrial type of environment.
- Skills pertaining to operation of heavy equipment.
Technical Skills:
- Candidate must be willing to work rotating shifts and 8-14-hour shifts.
- Able to read and understand Health, Safety and Environmental standards.
Travel Requirements:
- Willing to travel as necessary.

Additional Requirements:
- Successful completion of a pre-employment physical, including drug and alcohol testing.
- Ability to meet the required physical demands, including exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly.
