We are seeking a skilled Water Well Operator to join our team in Gulfport, MS. Our next colleague will hold a full-time & permanent position. In this role, the water well operator will be responsible for overseeing the daily operator of the water well division that is responsible for providing a continuous supply of safe drinking water for Gulfport, MS residents.

The Day-to-Day
- Perform work duties outlined in the job description.
- Help ensure compliance with all MSDH standards.
- Conduct sampling required by the MSDH and other agencies.
- Ensure all well and tank infrastructure is operating properly and in accordance with government standards.
- Complete and submit logbooks.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies.
The Skills We Are Looking For:
- Valid driver's license.
- Class D Mississippi Water License preferred.
- High school diploma/GED.
- At least 1-year related experience.
- Knowledge of work hazards and safety precautions, including hazards that may exist in water well environment.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and it's programs.
- Ability to deal with the public on a regular basis in a professional, courteous manner.
- Ability to perform physical tasks in various outdoor weather conditions.
The successful candidate will have to pass a background check which includes criminal background & motor vehicle report checks, as well as drug & alcohol screenings.
