    How You Will Make An Impact

    • Manage and support municipal water and wastewater engineering projects from planning through design and construction phases.
    • Develop and review project scopes while coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
    • Provide technical expertise related to water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, treatment facilities, and utility infrastructure.
    • Apply engineering principles to develop solutions for moderately complex infrastructure challenges.
    • Utilize AutoCAD and GIS tools to support design documentation, planning, and project deliverables.
    • Prepare technical reports, engineering memoranda, plans, presentations, and project documentation.
    • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to maintain project schedules, quality standards, and client expectations.
    • Mentor junior engineers, designers, technicians, and support staff while promoting strong technical practices.

    Do you bring proven success in municipal water and wastewater project management?

    • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related engineering discipline required.
    • Professional Engineer (PE) license in North Carolina or South Carolina required.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting municipal water and/or wastewater engineering projects.
    • Strong technical knowledge of water and wastewater system design, including:
    • Water mains and booster pump stations.
    • Gravity sewer systems, lift stations, and force mains.
    • Water and wastewater treatment facilities.
    • Hydraulic modeling and utility master planning.
    • Experience supporting infrastructure projects through planning, design, permitting, and construction phases.
    • Proficiency with AutoCAD and GIS applications.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
    • Demonstrated problem-solving skills, technical judgment, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
