Water/Wastewater Project Lead CM

Water Engineer 

Albany, NY    Full-time  

Help build the New York Water Services at Creighton Manning Engineering and Surveying, a GAI Company. As the Senior Water/Wastewater Project manager you will lead municipal water and wastewater projects for existing clients across Upstate New York, backed by GAI’s water and wastewater team.  

As the division expands, you can grow into a leadership role with the teamwork of a regional firm and the stability of an established, growing company. 

Earn $114,400–$162,240 annually, depending on location and experience, plus a sign-on bonus. This full-time opportunity is based in Albany, Syracuse, Poughkeepsie, or White Plains, with 5 days in-office preferred, but not mandatoty.  Flexible arrangements are available for up to 2 days remote per week.

What You Will Do 

• Manage pipeline, pump station, storage, and treatment projects from planning through construction. 

• Lead hydraulic modeling, master planning, design, and permitting. 

• Own scope, schedule, budget, and quality. 

• Win new work through proposals, presentations, and client relationships. 

• Hire and mentor junior staff. 

Required Qualifications 

• 11+  years, depending on experience and skill of applicant in the area municipal water or wastewater engineering. 

• 2+ years as a Project Manager leading multi-discipline teams. 

• Experience with AutoCAD/Civil 3D, ArcGIS, and hydraulic modeling software. 

Preferred Experience 

• 3+ years as engineer of record on water or wastewater projects. 

• Trenchless pipeline design or condition assessment. 

• Client and business development in Upstate New York. 

Pay 

Albany and Syracuse: $55 to $68 per hour 

Poughkeepsie: $59 to $73 per hour 

White Plains: $63 to $78 per hour
