    About the Role:

    The Water Treatment Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and quality of water supplies by operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting water treatment systems. This position involves monitoring water treatment processes to comply with regulatory standards and company policies, thereby protecting public health and the environment. The technician will conduct routine inspections, collect water samples, and perform laboratory tests to assess water quality and system performance. Additionally, the role requires timely identification and resolution of operational issues to maintain continuous and efficient water treatment operations. Ultimately, the Water Treatment Technician contributes to sustainable water management by supporting infrastructure that delivers clean and safe water to communities.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
    • Basic understanding of water treatment processes and equipment.
    • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing, and working in various weather conditions.
    • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and on-call shifts.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Certification as a Water Treatment Operator (e.g., from the National Association of Water Companies or state-level certification).
    • Experience working in water or wastewater treatment facilities.
    • Knowledge of safety regulations and environmental compliance standards related to water treatment.
