    Overview:

    The Water Transfer Technician will support field water transfer operations throughout construction, drilling, completions, frac, and post-completion activities. This position is responsible for overseeing water transfer contractors in the field, monitoring rig-up and breakdown activities, ensuring proper equipment and procedures are being used, and communicating any operational or safety concerns to field leadership.

    Responsibilities:
    • Monitor and oversee water transfer contractors during daily field operations.
    • Observe and oversee water transfer rig-ups and breakdowns.
    • Ensure contractors are using the correct tools, equipment, and procedures for each job.
    • Monitor field activities for compliance with safety and operational requirements, including PSMS and WMS procedures.
    • Identify and report operational, equipment, or safety issues to field leads and management.
    • Support the kickoff and execution of water transfer jobs.
    • Review and follow designated routes and job layouts using Google Earth or similar mapping tools.
    • Monitor the installation and operation of layflat hose, poly pipe, and other temporary water transfer lines.
    • Support water movement from freshwater ponds, freshwater wells, supply ponds, pipelines, and other water sources.
    • Support water transfer activities associated with pad construction, drilling rigs, completions, frac operations, and post-completion work.
    • Verify proper connections, hose and line placement, and overall water transfer setup.
    • Work closely with contractors and field leadership to ensure water transfer activities are completed safely and efficiently.
    • Maintain awareness of changing field conditions and promptly communicate issues or concerns.
    Qualifications:
    • 2–5 years of oilfield water transfer experience preferred.
    • Previous hands-on experience with water transfer operations is required.
    • Experience with water transfer rig-up and rig-down activities.
    • Familiarity with layflat hose, poly pipe, pumps, connections, and water transfer systems.
    • Understanding of water transfer operations supporting drilling, completions, frac, and/or construction activities.
    • Ability to identify improper equipment usage, unsafe conditions, and operational issues.
    • Ability to work independently in a field environment while effectively communicating with contractors and field leadership.
    • Comfortable using Google Earth or similar mapping/navigation applications.
    • Strong safety awareness and ability to follow established field procedures.
    • Must be flexible with scheduling during the initial training period before transitioning to the regular 8/6 schedule.
    • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
    • Must meet conditional job offer requirements.
