Water Solutions Chemical Process Operator
Location: Leeds, SC
Shift: 10-hour rotating shifts, 8 days on / 6 days off
Reports to: Plant Manager
Compensation: $29.00/hr – $31.00/hr
A day in the life
Picture the start of your shift: suited up in PPE, you step onto the production floor of a chemical plant that manufactures Liquid Alum, ACH, and PAC for critical water solutions. You check DeltaV screens and gauges, confirm temperatures and pressures are in range, then weigh and mix ingredients with care. A tank car is scheduled—so you prepare pumps, piping, and valves, perform safe railcar opening, and coordinate unloading. You capture every detail—weights, temperatures, batch steps—into the database, then hop on a Trackmobile or forklift to stage materials. A minor alarm? You diagnose, adjust, and keep the batch on spec. Before the shift ends, you tidy your area, complete housekeeping, and hand off clear notes to the next operator.
