DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Take scheduled readings on pump station recording instruments and enter them into logs
- Clean, inspect and lubricate machinery on a routine basis
- Maintain the grounds surrounding pump stations and water tanks
- Read water meters, pressure gauges and flow recording equipment
- Perform semi-skilled manual work in the installation of water services, meters and sewer services
- Work within the department as assigned by supervisor
- Must be willing to work overtime when needed by the department
QUALIFICATIONS AND ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS.
- Valid Massachusetts Class D Motor Vehicle Operator's License
- Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations and write accurate reports
- Experience in the installation and maintenance of municipal sewer and water systems
Salary:Start: $1,036 - Step 20: $1,263
