Water Resource Engineer

My team and I are partnering with a growing, multi-disciplinary engineering firm that is looking for a Water Resources Engineer who wants to take on meaningful projects, work alongside experienced industry professionals, and build a long-term career. Develop water resources and stormwater designs, including drainage systems, detention/retention facilities, channels, culverts, storm sewers, and other related infrastructure.

What You'll Do

• Develop water resources and stormwater designs, including drainage systems, detention/retention facilities, channels, culverts, storm sewers, and other related infrastructure.
• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses using industry-standard modeling tools and methodologies.
• Prepare engineering calculations, drainage studies, technical reports, plans, specifications, and construction documents.
• Support watershed studies, floodplain analysis, flood mitigation projects, and other water resources evaluations.
• Assist with local, state, and federal permitting requirements and coordinate with regulatory agencies when needed.
• Work closely with civil engineers, environmental professionals, surveyors, planners, designers, project managers, and clients.
• Take increasing responsibility for project schedules, budgets, deliverables, client communication, and technical direction as your experience grows.

Who You Are

• Education: B.S. in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Credentials: EIT or PE preferred, or actively pursuing licensure.
• Experience: Approximately 2–10 years of experience in water resources, stormwater, drainage, hydrology, hydraulics, or related civil engineering.
• Technical Skills: Experience with programs such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, HydroCAD, SWMM, Civil 3D, GIS, or comparable modeling/design software.
• Soft Skills: Strong communicator and problem-solver who enjoys collaborating with others and taking ownership of their work.
