City of Austin - Water Quality Specialist/GIS Technician

$36.57-$48.76/hour, depending on qualifications. Full-time, non-exempt.

Manage GIS mapping for City infrastructure, including stormwater, sanitary sewer, streetlights, streets and trails. Support stormwater planning and MS4 permit compliance, and conduct inspections, reviews and enforcement of water quality standards.

Qualifications:

Associate's degree in GIS, environmental studies, resource management, stormwater management or a related field, plus two years of relevant experience; equivalent education, training and experience considered.

A valid driver's license is required. Design of Construction Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans and Construction Site Management certifications must be obtained within one year of hire.
