As an Industrial Pretreatment Coordinator, you'll play a key role in protecting public health and the environment by ensuring industrial wastewater meets regulatory standards before entering treatment systems. Jacobs is seeking a Water Mechanic II for a large water treatment facility based in San Marcos CA. This position performs the inspection, maintenance, modification, and repair of the plant's systems, facilities, structures and related equipment, including a wide variety of pumps, instruments, motors, compressors, valves, blowers, and chemical feed equipment.
The facility we operate is a T5 rated100-mgd potable water treatment plant using combined submerged membrane filtration, ozone disinfection, advanced oxidation, and biological activated carbon to meet strict water quality standards for the San Diego metropolitan area. At its completion in April 2008, it was, and continues to be, one of the largest water treatment plants using membrane filtration in the world.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

o Practices, methods, techniques, tools and equipment used in the installation, maintenance and repair of mechanical systems, equipment, and machinery common to a water/wastewater treatment plant or related facility.
o Machine shop procedures and practices.
o Safety practices, safe work methods and safety regulations pertaining to the work.
o Typical waterworks conversions and calculations.
o Relevant state and federal regulations.
o Computerized Maintenance Management Systems
o Codes, ordinances and regulations pertaining to the work.
o Operation of motorized vehicles and equipment related to maintenance activities.

The base salary range for this position is $66,560.00 to $91,520.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
