A Water IT Senior Programmer Analyst job is available with the City of Fort Worth Water Department, Management Services Division. In this role, you'll be part of the Water IT team, which supports all technology used across the Fort Worth Water Utility, including systems that serve our customers directly. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, a solutions-focused mindset, and the ability to work within a collaborative environment where customer service, communication, and dependable technical delivery are essential.
The Senior Programmer Analyst is responsible for formulating and defining system scope and objectives, architecture, development, maintenance, and support of complex applications for the Utility delivered via the web, Internet and Intranet, and/or client-server. The incumbent is responsible for applying programming best practices, architectures, and patterns, assists others in programming, and leads in planning, architecting, securing, unit testing, and deploying custom applications. Adhering to Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices, change control policies, and service level agreement (SLA) compliance is expected. This position will also gain knowledge and provide support in additional areas of Oracle RightNow/Oracle Service Cloud and Itineris UMAX Utility Suite. This position is located onsite in Fort Worth, Texas.
