DESCRIPTION

Water Fitness Instructor (Part-Time)

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES

• Instruct 50-minute water fitness classes that are safe, effective, and engaging
• Demonstrate exercises clearly and provide modifications as needed
• Be knowledgeable in all aspects of class setup and breakdown, including pool space and equipment
• Ensure all required equipment is available and ready for participants
• Create and manage a music playlist when music is used for class
• Monitor participants for proper form and safety throughout class
• Maintain a positive, motivating, and inclusive class environment
• Work independently and manage time effectively
• Communicate professionally with participants and facility staff

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION

SCHEDULE: Weekly schedule is set and consistent. Day or evening availability. Schedule is very flexible.

PAY: $17-25 diem per class, rate based on experience

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be a non-smoker and non-tobacco/nicotine user, including but not limited to cigarettes, cigars, pipes, snuff, patches, etc. and refrain from using all tobacco/nicotine products for the duration of employment with the City.

This position is not eligible for benefits.
