    Minimum Qualifications

    Bachelors degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, Construction Management or a related field. Two years of experience in estimating, planning and/or scheduling work in a multi-trade environment in an industrial facility are required. Additional related experience may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis. Must possess a Driver license.

    The W&S Maintenance Planner is responsible for developing, maintaining, and coordinating preventive maintenance activities for Water and Sewer Department facilities and equipment. The position creates, monitors, and modifies database records within the computerized Enterprise Asset Management System (EAMS) to support the preventive maintenance program. This includes creating and maintaining asset numbers, loop tag numbers, master loop numbers, and activity definitions to ensure equipment and maintenance information is accurately documented and readily accessible. The position serves as a liaison among project managers, field operations personnel, plant supervisors, departmental end users, and vendors to assess and coordinate preventive maintenance schedules, updates, activity lists, and maintenance frequencies. The Maintenance Planner ensures that preventive maintenance requirements are properly scheduled and communicated and prepares and prints required reports and work tickets for multiple facilities on a weekly basis. The position also completes equipment revisions and maintenance activities, conducts equipment inventories, and creates new asset information, including barcode labeling and the ongoing maintenance and replacement of equipment identification labels. This work requires researching equipment maintenance requirements, scanning equipment images and PDF manuals, and linking relevant documentation to the appropriate EAMS database records.

    In addition, the W&S Maintenance Planner provides training and technical support to field personnel and departmental end users. The position trains field personnel on the Remote Entry Work Order Processing (RWOP) system and instructs end users on PC operations and EAMS applications used to create service requests and non-scheduled work tickets. The position also tests and troubleshoots software associated with EAMS applications, analyzes program functionality and effectiveness, and identifies and requests system changes or enhancements needed to improve maintenance operations and user efficiency. The position performs related work as required.
