SWA is hiring for an open Wastewater Facilities Operator postion in Melbourne, FL!
This is a contract role - Up to 6 months - possibility to convert to a long-term role
Pay: Up to $27 hr (based on experience)
Shift: M-F / 3 pm - 11 pm
Requirments:
* Background check and drug test required
* High school diploma or GED
* Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator "C" or higher
* Minimum of one year of experience at the full performance level in a Wastewater Treatment Plant
* Valid driver's license
Responsibilities:
* Participates in an on-the-job training program involving practical, "hands- on" experience with plant operations under the supervision of a Wastewater Production plant supervisor and/or a Certified Operator*Reads and comprehends a variety of technical laboratory, operations, and maintenance procedures.*Starts and stops machinery and pumps via supervisory control and data acquisition system, regulates valves and observes instrumentation; adds chemicals according to prescribed standards.?*Collects and analyzes various samples periodically and reports results; maintains simple records.?*Performs cleanup work on equipment and daily/weekly assigned housekeeping duties.?*Assists certified operator in all work and duties required in water treatment plant operations.?*Work 3-11 shift Monday through Friday or as needed by Lead Operator
