Position Overview
The Laundry Wash Lab Technician will support routine laundry product performance testing in an onsite laboratory environment. This is an entry-level, hands-on position focused on test preparation, laboratory procedures, equipment operation, and maintaining a clean and organized lab. This is
not a research position, and no degree is required.
Responsibilities- Assist with laundry product performance testing for prototype evaluation and advertising claim substantiation.
- Perform routine testing methodologies, including stain removal and softening, after appropriate training.
- Follow standard operating procedures for washing, drying, test preparation, staining, and related activities.
- Independently prepare tests, including labeling fabrics and towels and preparing stains and test materials.
- Learn and perform all aspects of assigned test procedures accurately and consistently.
- Operate laboratory instrumentation and automated equipment as required.
- Communicate with test requesters to understand product requirements and any additional test specifications.
- Ensure stains are prepared and applied correctly and that final test results meet established requirements.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the wash lab.
- Generate and compile test data for scientists to analyze.
- Assist with maintaining an adequate inventory of laboratory supplies.
- Work effectively in a team environment.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Follow all applicable laboratory safety procedures.
- Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
Qualifications- Knowledge of good laboratory practices.
- Mechanically inclined with an interest in hands-on work.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to follow detailed procedures and instructions accurately.
- No degree required; this is an entry-level position.
