·  Responsibilities:

• Assist with laundry product performance testing for prototype evaluations and advertising claim substantiation.
• Perform routine testing, including stain removal, fabric softening, and other product performance evaluations, once trained.
• Follow established standard operating procedures for washing, drying, test preparation, staining, and other laboratory activities.
• Independently prepare tests by labeling fabrics and towels, preparing stains, and setting up materials.
• Learn and perform all aspects of assigned testing procedures.
• Operate laboratory instrumentation and automated testing equipment.
• Communicate with test requesters to understand product requirements and any additional testing specifications.
• Ensure stains are prepared and applied accurately and that final test results meet requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the wash lab.
• Generate and compile test data for group scientists to review and analyze.
• Assist with maintaining laboratory supplies and inventory.
• Work effectively in a team environment.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write English.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of good laboratory practices (GLP).
• Mechanically inclined with the ability to operate laboratory equipment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills.
• No degree required; this is an entry-level opportunity.
