Warehouse Van Driver, Shenandoah National Park

The opportunity

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is searching for a seasonal Van Driver to join our team at Shenandoah National Park in Luray, Virginia. As a Warehouse Van Driver, you will be responsible for driving non-CDL vehicles, safely transporting merchandise and supplies between various destinations on and off our property. You will assist the Warehouse team in processing, counting and organizing merchandise and performing physical inventory counts on location.

This position does not offer employee housing and is based in our Luray, VA Warehouse.

Pay

$16.00 - $16.00 / hour

What will you do?

• Safely transport merchandise & supplies between locations, following regular assigned routes and schedules
• Accurately maintain delivery logs and paperwork
• Assist in receiving of products and merchandise, check for quality and damages, and properly store items
• Accurately perform transfers of product & merchandise to and from the warehouse
• Manage operating equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks and hand trucks
• Driving a company vehicle on a daily basis

More about you

• No high school diploma or GED required
• Minimum of three years' driving experience, a clean driving record and a valid driver license
• Able to safely operate and drive a van and maintain a safe atmosphere on the vehicle at all times
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both verbal and written communication

Physical requirements

• Sufficient vision that is not restricted in the performance of duties, day or night
• Ability to pull heavy carts of stock throughout facility and lift up to 50 pounds
• Frequent standing, walking, bending and lifting throughout entire shift
• Ability to work outside and in warehouse environment with temperature fluctuations
