Warehouse Technician - Greenville, SC

Client located in Greenville, SC is in the market for a temporary Warehouse Technician/Shipping Candidate:

Hours:  8am-4:30pm (M-F) – 6-10 Weeks – This person will cover for an employee going on medical leave - if you prove to be a valuable employee, this may change.

Pay Range:  $20/$21

Warehouse Technician II

Principal Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Pull orders from warehouse stock or restock as needed      

• Inspect orders for correct items and correct quantities Keep work area in a safe, clean, and orderly condition

• Conduct, monitor and perform cycle counts and annual inventory of equipment.

• Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards

• Plan, organize, and carry out assignments as directed

• Adhere to and support clients Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies

• Effectively develop and apply the Core Skills to the job

• Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality

• Other duties as assigned
  

Typical Minimum Qualifications - Related Education, Experience & Skills

• A combination of education and directly related experience equal to three (3) years; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors  

• Job related technical knowledge to complete the job 

• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner   
  

 Working Conditions

• Generally favorable indoor office workspace, and/or; Various levels of environmental conditions including but not limited to project worksites and vendor/client facilities which may have temporary office space, moving mechanical parts and vibration; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles and extreme temperatures and high noise levels  
  

  Preferred Qualifications - Related Education, Experience & Skills

• High School diploma or global equivalent

• Three (3) years of experience in construction industry  -  not particularly required but helpful knowledge of tools is a plus

• Proficient computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheet, and electronic presentation programs

• Physically able to squat, stoop, bend, climb, lie on back, lift and pull, reach up and out, lift 70 pounds, carry 50 pounds, and use a 10-pound sledge hammer (or global weight equivalents)

• Good communication skills for internal and external customers

• Strong organization skills

• Knowledge of parts, inventory, and warehouse practices

• Ability analyze and improve work processes

• Warehouse:  ability to pass internal forklift license (Sit-Down and Stand-Up Forklift)
