Warehouse Technician
Pay: $18.00–$19.50/hour
Location: Near Albany, NY (on-site)
Employment Type: Full-time

Position Summary

Our client is looking for a Warehouse Technician to support a range of activities across warehousing, shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment within their production operation. This role requires organizing a wide variety of materials and communicating with both internal and external customers. The ideal candidate brings a high degree of flexibility, strong attention to detail, the ability to competently follow direction and meet scheduling demands, and the physical ability to handle the demands of the role, including operating electric and manual pallet jacks. Applicants must be highly safety-conscious.

Core Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare merchandise for shipment
• Load trucks and label shipping information
• Receive parts and other merchandise
• Accurately catalog received and shipped inventory
• Fulfill orders for various production and research and development departments
• Support inventory control
• Perform frequent lifting, bending, and pulling
• Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks
• Communicate clearly and professionally with shipping and receiving coordinators, purchasing agents, warehouse and production supervisors, production staff, and engineering staff
• Use Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Communicate professionally with outside vendors and customers
• Occasionally operate hand tools
• Assist wherever needed, as directed by the warehouse cell leader and materials lead
• Travel as required for business needs, driving safely and adhering to all traffic laws

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and inventory management software preferred
• Ability to manage time effectively
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent verbal communication skills, and strong written communication skills
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving, order fulfillment, and inventory management, preferred
• Excellent task-oriented follow-through
• Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs, push/pull and use powered equipment, pull up to 100 lbs, and stand for the full shift
• Ability to work in inclement weather for short periods of time
