Warehouse Team Member - Anchorage Distribution Center Alaska Commercial Company | Anchorage, AK | Full-Time
About the Role
Alaska Commercial Company (ACC) is hiring a Warehouse Team Member at our Anchorage Distribution Center (ADC). You'll receive and unload container shipments, inspect incoming freight, move goods to designated storage areas, and prepare orders for final delivery - all while playing a vital role in getting essential supplies to rural Alaskan communities.
What You'll Do
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming freight for damage, shortages, and overages; report discrepancies to supervisors
- Off-load and secure pallets using pallet jacks, reach trucks, and forklifts
- Operate hand trucks, stock selectors, and standard safety equipment
- Pick, separate, and label grocery and general merchandise orders
- Prepare shipments in compliance with postal and airline regulations, including hazardous materials identification
- Keep warehouse areas organized, clean, and hazard-free
- Support ADC leadership with additional duties as needed
What You Bring
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-3 months of warehouse or related experience (1 year preferred)
- Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures
- Basic computer skills: Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, inventory and order processing systems
- Willingness to learn receiving, unloading, distribution, and retrieval operations
