The Role:

The Warehouse Supervisor leads day-to-day execution of HUNGRY's Los Angeles warehouse and fulfillment operations, overseeing a team of Warehouse Associates/Drivers. This role coordinates receiving, inventory, order fulfillment, and quality-control processes while ensuring accuracy, safety, and on-time delivery across the warehouse.

This is a hands-on leadership position requiring strong organization, sound judgment, and the ability to train, motivate, and hold a team accountable in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

What You'll Do:

Team Leadership & Supervision

• Supervise, schedule, and coach Warehouse Associates/Drivers across daily shifts.
• Train new hires on warehouse systems, safety procedures, and quality standards; provide ongoing performance feedback.
• Assign daily tasks and ensure adequate staffing to meet receiving, picking, and delivery schedules.

Receiving & Inventory Management

• Oversee and assist with receiving of inbound product, verifying quantities, condition, and expiration dates against expected deliveries.
• Ensure proper storage in dry, refrigerated, and frozen locations, and enforce FIFO and product rotation.
• Maintain accurate inventory records in Sortly and other HUNGRY systems; lead cycle counts and physical inventories.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, damaged product, shortages, and expired product.

Order Fulfillment & Quality Control

• Oversee and assist with order picking, packing, and labeling to ensure accuracy in product, quantity, and pack size.
• Verify completed orders for SKU and quantity accuracy before release; correct errors before orders leave the warehouse.
• Manage staging of dry, refrigerated, and frozen orders by client, route, and delivery schedule, and support driver load-out.

Warehouse Safety & Compliance

• Enforce food-safety, sanitation, and cold-chain procedures, and maintain clean, organized, hazard-free work areas.
• Ensure safe use of warehouse equipment, carts, pallet jacks, and ladders; address equipment or facility issues promptly.
• Oversee opening and closing warehouse procedures.

Operational Support

• Partner with Warehouse Associates, drivers, and Operations team to ensure orders are completed on schedule.
• Communicate inventory shortages, discrepancies, and operational issues promptly to leadership.
• Support warehouse setup, organization, and process improvements as the LA operation grows.

Requirements

• • 2+ years of warehouse, fulfillment, or food distribution experience; prior supervisory or lead experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to order and inventory accuracy.
  • Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable using inventory management technology, including barcode/QR scanning and mobile applications.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills; able to identify and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality, particularly for early-morning shifts.

• • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift for extended periods.
  • Ability to safely use warehouse carts, pallet jacks, ladders, and related equipment.
  • Ability to work in refrigerated and freezer environments for periods of time.
